Based in Antwerp, Bertrand Lejoly Design Studio stands for contemporary and timeless design. Bertrand Lejoly describes his style as ‘refined simplicity’. His objects walk the boundary between an expressive yet subtle design language. He especially likes to play with elements that are engraved in the collective memory to create timeless items for everyday use.
After studying at the École supérieure des arts Saint-Luc in Liège, he gained his first work experience as an industrial designer in Germany. He then went to Milan for seven years to collaborate with Matteo Thun. In 2013 he became Head of Product Design with the Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen where he worked until recently.
In April 2021 Bertrand launched his own design studio. Since then he has been working on collections with several companies, such as Serax, Duravit, Vincent Sheppard and Zanotta.
